I've been a portrait photographer for 25 years. When I look back on my own photos, they have the power to make me laugh at a funny moment or to cry as I remember someone who is no longer with me. I feel nostalgia for a child who is now grown, or pride in a moment of achievement for that same child. Our photographs preserve our memories, and the feelings that are all tied up in those memories.
I care deeply that these photos become a gift that you can treasure -- so I do everything I can in the shooting and editing and delivering of the photos to achieve that goal. It is also important to me to seek and capture the natural, un-posed moments that others might overlook. Building a personal connection with each client, and making sure that they are happy with the final product is important to me.
